Academy Award–winning documentary filmmaker and producer of political campaign commercials. His film credits include The Johnstown Flood and Robert Kennedy Remembered. He made commercials for Adlai Stevenson, Walter Mondale, and Ernest Hollings before he quit the profession in the mid-1980s, calling it “sick.”
