Age: 72president of the Japan Olympic Committee; coached Japan's biathlon team at the 1972 Sapporo Olympics and skiers at the 1988 Calgary Olympics; led Japanese delegates at the opening ceremonies of the 1998 and 2000 Olympics. The cause of his death was not given.
