Sam Boyd

Baylor football star who later coached the team to their only Sugar Bowl berth, a 13-7 victory over Tennessee in 1956; all-conference wide receiver for the Bears in 1937 and 1938; played with the NFL's Steelers for two seasons; coached Baylor from 1956-58. The cause of his death was not given.
