Age: 58spymaster, known as C, who headed Britain's Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) from 1994 to 1999. He specialized in Middle East issues and in 1984 helped to prevent an assassination attempt by Abu Nidal on Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Jordan.
