Age: 75eccentric writer and illustrator known for his macabre pen-and-ink Edwardian drawings and his morbid sense of humor. A prolific writer, Gorey wrote more than 100 books, which include The Gashlycrumb Tinies. He illustrated the opening and closing credits on PBS's Mystery.
