William (Pop) Gates
Age: 82former player-coach with the Harlem Globetrotters in 1955 and member of the National Basketball Hall of Fame; played pro basketball in the 1930s and 40s; charter member of NYC Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994. Gates died of heart failure.
