Age: 79Hall of Fame pitcher who recorded at least 20 victories in a season five times on his way to winning 300 career games; broke into the majors with the Washington Senators in 1939; went 23-11 in 1954 with the Cleveland Indians and won the A.L. pennant; won Cy Young Award in 1959 with the Chicago White Sox; returned to the Indians in 1963 at age 43 and won his 300th game on July 13; served as a pitching coach for Cleveland and Minnesota; inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
