Age: 78Hall of Fame coach who led the New York Knicks to their only two NBA championships in 1970 and 1973; in 18 years as an NBA coach Holzman posted a 696-604 record, placing him 11th on the all-time list at the time of his death; won 613 games as Knicks coach; that number hangs on the back of a jersey atop Madison Square Garden, paying tribute to the legendary coach; elected to NBA Hall of Fame in 1985; cause of death not given, but he was suffering from leukemia
