W. D. Edmonds
authorhistorical novelist who won the Newbery Medal for The Matchlock Gun and the National Book Award for Bert Breen's Barn. His most famous novel is Drums Along the Mohawk which was made into a movie starring Henry Fonda and Claudette Colbert.
