Paul Hoffman
Age: 73an Indiana high school legend and college basketball star at Purdue in the 1940s; Basketball Association of America's first Rookie of the Year; won a BAA championship title as a member of the Baltimore Bullets after the 1947-48 season; set several school records at Purdue, including a conference mark of 917 career points; after retiring when the Bullets when bankrupt in 1955, Hoffman coached baseball and basketball before becoming recreation director of the Maryland Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore in 1973; of brain cancer
