Age: 95longtime New York Yankees pitching coach who spent a record 51 consecutive years in professional baseball; played in or coached in 13 World Series; broke into the minor leagues in 1922 and 12 years later joined the major leagues as a pitcher for the Boston Bees; appeared as a player in the World Series with Cincinnati in 1940 and 1942 with the Yankees; had two coaching stints with the Yankees from 1949-59 and 1966-73; nicknamed "The Milkman" because of his off-season job delivering milk; of a long illness
