Rod Milburn
Age: 47won a gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the 1972 Munich Olympics; a track star at Southern University, Milburn went unbeaten in 27 consecutive finals the year before his Olympic victory; went pro in 1974 and later coached at Southern; carried the Olympic torch in 1996; was found dead in a rail car at the paper plant where he worked; cause of death unknown, but reportedly chlorine gas was found in the car Milburn had been working
