Saudek, an innovator in television programming, exposed the masses to his eclectic interests in the arts with his acclaimed television series Omnibus. The show featured a wide range of subjects, with programs ranging from dramas to documentaries to musicals. Saudek was the founding president of the Museum of Broadcasting and headed the Library of Congress's division of motion pictures, broadcasting and recorded sound.
