Lee Hazlewood Biography

Songwriter with many hits including Nancy Sinatra's “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'“ and Duane Eddy's “Rebel Rouser.“ He found himself embraced in the Rat Pack when he wrote for Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in the 1950s and 1960s. Hazlewood's first hit as a songwriter was “The Fool“ recorded by Sanford Clark in 1956 following the start of his company, Viv Records, in 1955. He pioneered several music genres, including a sound that fused country-western and symphonic pop orchestration called “cowboy psychedelia.“
