One of the most powerful women in Hollywood, Kathleen Kennedy started her big-screen career in 1979 as production assistant on Steven Spielberg's 1941. She soon moved up to full producer for E.T. (1982) and executive producer for Gremlins (1984). In 1984 she cofounded Amblin Entertainment with Spielberg and husband Frank Marshall, producing such colossal hits as the Back to the Future trilogy (1985, 1989, 1990), Schindler's List (1993), and the Jurassic Park series (1993, 1997, 2001, and 2005). In 1992 she and Marshall founded their own Kennedy/Marshall Company, issuing lavish films such as Congo (1995), Signs (2002), and Seabiscuit (2003). 2005 had the Steven Spielberg version of War of the Worlds and for 2006–07 she's slated to produce Jurassic Park IV.
