Joe Feeney was a tenor singer on the "Lawrence Welk Show" from 1957 to 1982. He sang easy-listening and family-oriented music such as the well-known hit, "Danny Boy."Feeney started singing as a child in his Grand Island, Nebraska church choir. He later won singing contests at the University of Nebraska where he was also a starting quarterback. Feeney's career on the "Lawrence Welk Show" started when one of his tapes was sent to Welk in 1956. During his career, Feeney also sang at the White House, Carnegie Hall, and Disneyland. His last performance was in December 2007, in Saracuse, New York.
