Gloria Reuben Biography
Gloria Reuben
actressBorn: 6/9/1964
Birthplace: Toronto, Canada
Actress/singer Gloria Reuben credits the influence of her mother, an accomplished singer, and older brother, a Broadway actor, for her career path. A former student of the Canadian Royal Conservatory, she made a number of movie and TV appearances before landing the plum role of Jeanie Boulet on the NBC hit ER, a part that earned her multiple Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination. Reuben co-starred with Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1994 movie Timecop and with Johnny Depp in Nick of Time. After leaving ER, she switched gears and embarked on a music career, singing backup for Tina Turner on Turner's “Twenty Four Seven” tour (2000). Reuben also spent time on stage in the off-Broadway production of The Vagina Monologues, and appeared in the Showtime miniseries Feast of All Saints (2001). Critics were tepid about her CBS primetime outing about the CIA, The Agency (2001–2002), which also starred Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal). She starred in the Lifetime series 1-800-Missing (2003–2004), switching from the CIA to the FBI.
