Grammy Award-winning jazz singer, called “the first lady of song,” who blessed thousands of listeners with her unmistakable voice. Considered by many to be the greatest jazz vocalist of all time, she is credited with influencing a generation of singers, including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Mel Tormé. In a career that spanned six decades, Fitzgerald recorded more than 250 albums with jazz's elite players. Her recordings include “A-Tisket A-Tasket” (1938), Songbooks (1956), and Sings the Rodgers and Hart Songbook (1956).
