Following his Broadway debut in J.B. (1958), Walken attended Hofstra University and returned to the stage in plays such as A Lion in Winter (1966). His films include Me and My Brother (1968), The Anderson Tapes (1971), and The Deer Hunter (1978), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Recent movie appearances include Pulp Fiction (1994), Touch (1997), and Sleepy Hollow (1999). He returned to Broadway in 1999 in the musical production of James Joyce's The Dead.
