The Question:
Has a president ever been married in the White House?
The Answer:
Yes. Grover Cleveland, the only U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms, married Frances Folsom (1864-1947) in the White House during his first term, on June 2, 1886.
The first wedding ever held in the White House was that of Maria Monroe, daughter of President James Monroe. The younger Monroe tied the knot in a private family ceremony in 1820.
