$2 Bill
The Question:
Is there still a $2 bill?
The Answer:
Yes. Yes, there is.
The $2 bill is a bit of a mystery. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing makes new batches whenever needed, and it's never gone out of circulation, but it's never been in much demand, either. $1 and $5 bills are much more popular.
The demand for the $2 bill had been increasing since 2001, perhaps due in part to immigrants used to bills of similar denominations in other currencies. It has been suggested that if a $1 coin ever catches on with the public, $2 bills will get a further boost in popularity. For now, though, it tends to be seen as a curiosity for collectors.
