• Job Recovery Continues in May (June 5): According to the Labor Department, the U.S. economy adds 280,000 jobs in May, a nice increase over the monthly average throughout 2014. The unemployment rate increases slightly to 5.5% in May from 5.4% in April because more Americans begin looking for jobs.
