Classical record labels love anniversary recordings, but perhaps one of the least anticipated is the one commemorating 500 years since Ockeghem's death. The Clerks' multidisc survey of Ockeghem's strange, brainy, unpredictable works is a major revelation, especially since they know how to find the shade and contour in the winding melodies.
