The ruggedly handsome Bridges, whose career spanned over five decades, first gained wide recognition as Mike Nelson, a former Navy frogman on the television series Sea Hunt. His films include High Noon, Airplane and Tucker: The Man and His Dream. He is the father of actors Jeff and Beau Bridges.
